Investment Goal and Strategy
The Fund seeks maximum long-term total return. The fund seeks to achieve this by allocating its assets among stock, bond, and money market instruments.

Investment Approach
What happens when you add bonds to The Hartford Stock Fund investment strategy? You get The Hartford Advisers Fund, a portfolio of stocks, bonds and cash designed for the investor who wants to participate in the stock market but reduce the risk associated with an "all-equity" portfolio.

Invest in Stocks for Growth Potential
This portion of the Fund is managed by Steve Irons Saul Pannell and Peter Higgins.
The same investment approach as The Hartford Stock Fund:
- Core, Large-Cap Fund
- One Stock at a Time
Invest In Bonds for Downside Protection
This portion of the Fund is managed by John Keogh
1. Bonds don't always move in tandem with stocks
2. Bonds tend to be less volatile than stocks
3. The income which bonds pay can offset portfolio declines caused by stock price volatility.
Actively Manage the Portfolio
The Portfolio Managers make gradual shifts among the three asset classes based upon their current view of the economy and market valuations.
